Objectives:
In line with the launch of the first Walkman series Phone, songs were preloaded to phone to encourage consumers to try out the walkman features which works just like MP3 players.
Activity:
A Java application and encrypted contents were preloaded into the w800i Sony Ericsson's first Walkman phone. User activates the application to redeem two free songs with a click of a button and input of their mobile number. Thereafter a key will be sent to their mobile phone to activate the songs. After the free songs have been redeemed, users are still able to purchase songs via the application and make their payments via their subscription bills.
Project Description:
The campaign was well received by the users with many of them activating and purchasing the preloaded tracks. Distributing of songs via this new mobile channel also resulted in additional revenue for the content owners.
Due to the positive response, we're now into our third deployment of the music application for Sony Ericsson.
Entire project was deployed using our DC IP Connect Mobile technology platform.
