Objectives:
To provide a compelling and enriching mobile experience for Nokia mobile phone users. A Video on Demand Service Portal showcasing specially selected video contents from BBC Worldwide was conceptualized to that effect beginning with the newly launched Nokia N96.
Project Description:
Nokia, BBC Worldwide and Digital Connect collaborated for the first time in providing free download of entertaining videos for proud owners of the newly launched N96 handsets.
With every purchase of a Nokia N96 phone, a voucher is found in the sales box. Users get to redeem this for a series of video that can only be sync once to their phone. DRM technology using DC's IP Connect Mobile Platform was deployed throughout the whole portal to ensure that the contents are solely for the use of the N96 users. Territorial restriction was also set in place for residents of Australia and New Zealand. In order to provide a complete user experience, there is phone and online support to answer any queries.
A similar Asia Pacific portal was conceptualized by DC for residents of Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
